Sources & methodology
What this site is (and is not)
This is an aggregated reference. Nobody behind this site has printed with these products. Every value comes from a cited source: the Open Filament Database, SpoolmanDB, or Bambu Lab's wiki. Many database values originate from manufacturer data sheets, but we have not independently checked each one against the manufacturer.
Per-field sourcing
Each value carries a source link (to the exact file and commit in the source repository), a confidence label and a last-checked date. Confidence labels: community-database (from an open community database), manufacturer-documentation (paraphrased from Bambu's wiki), and computed (derived by this site from cited inputs, such as spool fit).
Rules that decide which pages exist
- A product gets its own page only with at least 8 sourced specification fields (brand, material and color count are not counted).
- A printer + material list exists only when at least 5 such products exist and Bambu rates the category compatible or recommended for that printer type.
- Spool fit is "within" only when the product's listed spool dimensions fall inside Bambu's published limits; with no dimensions it is "unknown".
- Bambu's ratings are per material category. Products are mapped to a category automatically from the database material and product name; this mapping can be wrong for unusual products.
Bambu categories, derived categories and printer-requirement flags
- Each product is mapped to a row of Bambu's material table from its database material and name, plus the database's carbon-fibre and glass-fibre tags.
- ABS-CF, ASA-CF/GF, PC-CF/GF and unfilled PA are not rows in Bambu's compatibility table. They are marked as derived: enclosed printers are shown as Recommended because Bambu's printer-requirements table lists ABS, ASA, PC, PA and their CF/GF variants under enclosed printers; open-frame printers and the AMS / AMS lite are shown as "Not rated" rather than guessed.
- Materials Bambu does not mention (for example PEEK, PEI, PEKK, PPSU) are labeled "Not in Bambu's table" and get no status.
- Hardened-nozzle flag: "required" when Bambu's nozzle column says Required for the category, or when any colour variant in the Open Filament Database is tagged abrasive or fibre-filled; "not required" only when Bambu says Not Required and no variant has such a tag; otherwise "unclear". Enclosure flag comes from the Bambu category only, because the database has no enclosure tag.
- Heat values (HDT, Tg, Vicat) are copied from manufacturer datasheets into a separate file and joined to products by database ID. They are never estimated, and products without a datasheet value show none.

Editorial rules
- No first-person testing claims, no star ratings, no testimonials.
- Every measurement in body text is linked to its source; a build-time check enforces this.
- Affiliate links, once added, are disclosed next to the link and never change which data is shown.
